Choose a different thought on purpose.

The Situation

You haven't seen yet that you can choose a different thought on purpose.

Up to now, the thought has chosen you. You see the mirror, the sentence arrives, the feeling follows. This step is the moment the order changes.

You can pick a thought on purpose, and use it. Not as a slogan, not as a lie, but as a clearer truth than the one your habit gives you. The one offered here is not arbitrary. Your skin really is a readout of what is happening in your body — and your worth was never built out of it.

The Solution

So choose one: your skin reports your health, and your worth stays yours.

Say the sentence to yourself, out loud if you can, when you next see your reflection. 'My skin reports my health. My worth stays mine.' It will feel awkward. That is normal — every new thought does. Use it anyway. Repetition is how a chosen thought becomes a default one.
